Center Parcs’ April blogger Challenge – Edible Easter egg nests
This month we’re fully embracing the Easter spirit here at Center Parcs, so we’ve decided to make our April challenge all about one of our favourite Easter treats… edible Easter egg nests!
There are so many different ways that you can make these creations unique and we’ve got our very own Chief Creative Chef, Lynn Dixon, on hand to offer suggestions to make sure you don’t get in a scramble. In your blog post, make sure to let us know which of the tips inspired you:
• Mix some cereal, such as bran or broken up wheat, together with some melted chocolate and form the mixture in to nest-like shapes, leaving to cool for a finished nest
• Not a fan of chocolate? Twist multi-coloured liquorice laces together to create an edible nest, softening them in the microwave for 20 seconds to make them easier to mould
• Don’t have a sweet tooth? Use the strings from celery sticks to create a grass-like nest for savoury treats
• Feeling really adventurous? Seek out some phyllo dough (usually found in delis, rather than supermarkets), cut it in to thin strips and arrange in ‘nests’ in a buttered muffin tin, baking for 15 mins. Then top with your chosen treats for the most realistic edible nests you’ll see over Easter
Once you’ve had a look through the eggspert tips, head on over to the Tots100 blog post for all the information you need to complete the challenge.
At the bottom of your blog post make sure you include the following line so that we know it is your entry into this month’s challenge: ‘This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 April challenge. If I’m chosen, I would like to visit (specify Village)’.
After you’ve published the post, please tweet a link to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 Twitter accounts, including the hashtag #CPFamilyBreaks. For example: .@Tots 100 @CenterParcsUK Here’s my #CPFamilyBreaks entry <link to blog post>
