March Blogger Challenge – Show Off Your Painting Skills
Finally, spring is in the air, so what better way to make the most of the gorgeous scenery than by dusting off your paint brush? This month, we want you to re-create the beauty of nature by painting some bright and colourful flowers with your children. For more details on the challenge please visit Tots 100 and read on for some top tips from our very own Creative Crafter, Emma Hull. Make sure to include in your post which tip helped inspire you and your children.
• If you’d like to paint in your garden, or any other outside space, remember to take something to lean on as well as a pot of water for you to wash your paintbrushes in
• Create an effective blossom print by dipping your fingers in paint and using your fingertips for the flowers. Don’t stop there! Experiment with potato prints cut in to different shapes - this will really give your work of art that extra special touch
• Find materials around the house to add to the painting, giving it a 3D effect. Why not paint an old bottle cap and stick it in the centre of a flower, really bringing your painting to life?
So all you’ve got to do to enter this month’s challenge is include a picture of your child’s painting in a blog post and let us know the story behind it, along with which of the above tips helped you get started. Make sure you let us know that it’s your entry into this month’s challenge by including the line ‘This is my entry to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 March challenge. If I’m chosen, I would like to visit (specify Village)’.
Just tweet a link to the Center Parcs and Tots 100 Twitter accounts, including the hashtag #CPFamilyBreaks, and you’re all done. For example: @Tots 100 @CenterParcsUK Here’s my #CPFamilyBreaks entry <link to blog post>
By getting involved in this month’s challenge you could be in with a chance of becoming a wildcard blogger and winning a break at a Center Parcs Village of your choice*! The challenge closes on March 30th. Good luck.
