Mammals at Longleat Forest

Longleat Forest  provides a habitat for 4 species of bat, all of which roost on the village.  The species are Pipistrelle, Brown Long-eared, Whiskered/Brandt's and Serotine.  

All species of bat are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

A strong badger population can be found on the village and they have been known to feed from villa patios close to their setts.
