ISO14001

In 1999 Center Parcs became the first company in leisure industry to achieve the ISO 14001 accreditation for the effective implementation of an environmental management system. Center Parcs UK is an exemplar of sustainable tourism and achieving this accreditation recognises Center Parcs' commitment to conserving and enhancing the environment it provides for its guests and employees.

We have always recognised and accepted our duty for the responsible management of all of our activities, but in particular the management of our impact on the environment. In addition to complying with all relevant legislation, our key objectives are to protect, maintain and wherever possible to improve the environment of our villages.

Whilst we organise our activities to give priority to the avoidance and prevention of pollution, we also set and monitor progress against quantified objectives for all key environmental aspects, including sourcing materials and services from third parties, so as to continually improve our environmental performance.

To ensure that this responsible management is consistently and universally applied across all of its areas of operation Center Parcs has developed and will maintain an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
