Center Parcs revolutionised the holiday market in Holland over 40 years ago and did the same in the UK when it opened its first village at Sherwood Forest in July 1987, offering short break holidays on a year round basis. As the leader in the UK short break holiday market, Center Parcs occupies a unique position enjoying enviable annual occupancy rates in excess of 95%. In that time, the name Center Parcs has become synonymous with the provision of an exceptional short break experience in a forest location.
The Center Parcs concept is to provide a range of outstanding leisure facilities, set amidst the surrounding forest environment which is both protected and enhanced. Center Parcs operates four Villages in the UK; Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire, Elveden Forest in Suffolk, Longleat Forest in Wiltshire and Whinfell Forest in Cumbria. Each is set in a forest environment, typically 400 acres in size and provides high quality accommodation in fully equipped Apartments and Lodges, which are set amongst trees and streams. Each Village offers an extensive range of sports and leisure activities plus numerous restaurants, bars and retail outlets and a superb Aqua Sana Spa facility.
