By Road

Sherwood Forest is about 25 minutes drive from both the A1 and the M1 and all 3 suggested routes take you to either of these roads. Once you have reached the A1 or M1, follow the routes detailed.

From the West and North West: M6 to Junction 21a, then follow the M62 to the A1.

From the South West: M5 or M6 to the M42 then follow A42 to the M1.

From the South: M3 to M25, clockwise to M1.

From the South East: M2 or M20 to M25, anti-clockwise to M1.

From the North using the M1: Leave the M1 at Junction 31 and follow the A57 (Worksop and Lincoln) for 10 miles following signs for Clumber Park and Sherwood Forest. Turn right onto the B6034 signposted Ollerton and Edwinstowe, (the B6034 becomes the A616 to Newark). Follow this road for approximately 7½ miles until you reach the main Ollerton roundabout. Turn right onto the A614 towards Nottingham and after approximately 2 miles turn right at Rose Cottage Public House back onto the B6034 towards Edwinstowe. Center Parcs Sherwood Forest is approximately 100 metres on your left.

From the South using the M1: Leave the M1 at Junction 28 and follow the A38 towards Mansfield for 4.5 miles. Turn right onto the A617 signposted Newark. Follow this road for 8.3 miles to the roundabout signposted A614 towards Nottingham/Doncaster. Turn left onto the A614 north towards Doncaster for 4.2 miles and then turn left at Rose Cottage Public House onto the B6034 towards Edwinstowe. Center Parcs Sherwood Forest is approximately 100 metres on your left.

From the North using the A1: Leave the A1 at the junction with the A614 in North Nottinghamshire. Follow the A614 towards Nottingham for approximately 7 miles until you reach the main Ollerton roundabout. Continue straight on, following the signs for the A614 to Nottingham. After approximately 2 miles turn right at Rose Cottage Public House onto the B6034 towards Edwinstowe. Center Parcs Sherwood Forest is approximately 100 metres on your left.

From the South using the A1: Leave the A1 at the junction with the A17/A46/B6166 (signposted Newark) and at ensuing roundabout take 3rd exit A46 (signposted Leicester) onto Newark bypass. Continue for approximately 2 miles to the junction with A616/A617/B6326. At roundabout take 3rd exit A617 (signposted Mansfield) Continue on A617 for approximately 9 miles to junction with A614. At roundabout take 3rd exit A614 (signposted Doncaster) Follow the A614 for approximately 4 miles and turn left at Rose Cottage Public House onto the B6034 towards Edwinstowe. Center Parcs Sherwood Forest is approximately 100 metres on your left.
