Center Parcs Awarded Top Star Rating By VisitBritain

August 2007

Center Parcs, has been awarded five stars following an independent assessment carried out by VisitBritain.

VisitBritain has given Center Parcs the new "Forest Holiday Village" designator in its Quality Assessment Scheme recognising the fact that the well-known and much-loved brand benefits from and supports the forest environment in which they are situated.

In addition to mystery calls being made to the call centre, incognito assessments carried out by mystery guests at all of the four Center Parcs villages also took place. The audit results praised the call centre staff in particular for their quick and helpful responses to enquiries.

Subsequently, each village was deemed worthy of the five star recognition. VisitBritain only awards this to those businesses that meet the exacting criteria. Five stars illustrate that the villages have been found to be excellent in all respects with high standards of service and cleanliness in particular.

Colin Whaley, sales and marketing director for Center Parcs, said: "Having had a category created just for Center Parcs by VisitBritain was an achievement in itself. To then go on to be awarded the highest rating possible in this category is simply fantastic."

Whaley continued: "This comes at a great time for Center Parcs, having just invested £60million into redesigning our accommodation and we are all delighted to be recognised for offering a service worthy of the five stars."

Jeremy Brinkworth, general manager for Quality at VisitBritain, says: "We are delighted that Center Parcs has achieved a Five Star rating and their continued re-investment will help consolidate the high quality of facilities and services which Center Parcs guests have come to expect."
