Center Parcs invests £100 million

June 2008

Having invested £100 million over the last year in some of the most far reaching and exciting developments since launching in the UK, 21 years ago, Center Parcs has just got even better.

The accommodation restyling project has been a huge undertaking. Leading London interior designer Tara Bernerd, appointed after a highly contested pitch took the magical forest setting as her inspiration. A fresh and contemporary look for the new style Woodland Lodges was created with an orange and Khaki colour palette. Whilst the new style Executive Lodges have a sophisticated burgundy and oatmeal scheme. Open plan living spaces have been transformed with giant artworks, oak-style flooring and modern fixtures and fittings. The new four bedroom Executive Lodges at Sherwood, Elveden and Longleat include a games room, equipped with a Playstation 3, Pool table and a range of family favourite board games. No matter which accommodation style is right for your event, your delegates will get a great nights sleep with the new Sealy ‘Forest Dreams’ bed. Designed exclusively for Center Parcs and developed in conjunction with leading orthopaedic surgeons, they offer enhanced support with maximum comfort. All topped off with crisp fresh white bed linen.

Dining is a really important part of your event and providing increased quality and choice is our number one priority. We’re investing £17 million in our existing restaurants, such as transforming Huckleberry’s into Hucks’s an American bar and grill with an exciting new menu and a stunning new look. Huck’s will be open on all Villages by the end of September. James Haywood, Executive Chef at Elveden Forest commented: “It's been a huge honour for my team to work alongside one of New York’s top chefs to launch our new brand.” We also formed some partnerships to bring even more choice. Tragus brings the continental delights of Café Rouge to each Village, plus Bella Italia at Whinfell and Elveden whilst Strada is open at Longleat and Sherwood. Additionally the Spanish tapas bar Ortega can also be found at Longleat. A new gastro-pub, Foresters’ Inn is open at Sherwood and Elveden. Starbucks coffee shops are open on all Villages too.
