Center Parcs, today announces that as part of its commitment to further improve the guest experience, the Company has signed agreements with Select Service Partner ("SSP") and the Nuance Group ("Nuance"). This follows Center Parcs' agreement with Tragus Group, the restaurant operator, earlier this year to manage a small number of restaurants on each of Center Parcs' four villages.
Under the terms of these agreements, SSP will operate two restaurants at Sherwood and Elveden Forest and Nuance will undertake the management of a small number of retail units across Center Parcs' four villages.
These agreements will be accompanied by a related investment of £6.3 million which Center Parcs' will be making over the next 12 months. This investment is part of the Center Parcs' wider £17 million investment programme in restaurants and retail and follows recent £60 million investment in its accommodation.
Center Parcs has signed an agreement with Select Service Partner (SSP), an international concession and travel operator, to operate two restaurants at two Center Parcs villages - Sherwood and Elveden Forest. Center Parcs' investment will be used to transform two existing restaurants into modern, high quality "gastro" pubs operated by SSP.
Center Parcs has signed an agreement with Nuance to manage its Sportique and Aquatique retail units across all four Center Parcs villages. It is expected that the retail units will continue to operate as Sportique and Aquatique, selling a range of sportswear and swimwear. Center Parcs is also building two new retail units on each village which are expected to sell outdoor and casual clothing and accessories and will also be managed by Nuance.
Center Parcs will continue to manage all other existing retail units on its four villages comprising 16 units and include Parcmarket, Treats, Natural Elements and Funtastic, selling groceries, confectionary, gifts and toys respectively.
Center Parcs' £4.4 million retail investment includes:
The agreement with Nuance will take effect immediately, and the upgrading of facilities will be introduced in a phased programme over the following 12 months. The agreement with SSP will take effect in January 2008 when the work on transforming the two existing units to "gastro" pubs commences.
Commenting on the agreements, Martin Dalby, Chief Executive of Center Parcs, said:
"Center Parcs is committed to continue raising the bar on quality and choice for its guests - improving the Center Parcs experience is at the forefront of our decisions. We are excited at the opportunity to work with these successful service providers in their respective areas and to provide our guests with an even greater choice."
