Ian is delighted to have joined Center Parcs and is looking forward to spearheading the continued success of the conference division. He has spent his whole career so far working in hospitality, joining Hilton Hotels as a management graduate where he spent 11 years working in various departments including conference sales, front of house and reservations - before moving into a regional sales role covering Key Accounts.
After leaving Hilton, he became a sales consultant working on various corporate sales projects including several football clubs, various venue operators - First Leisure, Chicago Rock Cafe and hotel operators - Holiday Inn, Best Western, Jarvis and Forte.
For the last three years, Ian was the National Sales Manager for Novus Leisure an operator of 35 late night venues, working on their 27 London properties and securing and servicing large Corporate Events.
Ian explains why he is so excited by his new role “I have visited Center Parcs for many years with my children as a leisure guest and never realised just how extensive the corporate facilities are. Naturally I had seen the high ropes and associated team building with them, but the purpose built Venue is a great conference facility.
I am genuinely excited to be working with the Center Parcs product, the environment truly is an escape from the 'hustle and bustle' - I enjoy being out and about on the Villages and know from all the delegates I have spoken with so far they love the forest setting. I know where I would rather have my conference!”
