1) Planning and preparation

  • Plan as early as possible in order to secure your preferred location and the most desirable conference space
  • Determine the purpose of the event
  • Work out how many delegates will be attending the event and consider their needs such as travel requirements
  • Determine your budget and also check whether it is inclusive or exclusive of VAT

2) Selecting a Venue

  • Select a venue which most reflects your needs

3) Provide your venue with all your requirements

  • The more information you provide the smoother your event is likely to run
  • Ensure that communication methods have been finalised prior to the event and that any technical requirements have been organised before your arrival such as Data Projectors and LCD Screens
  • We have dedicated event teams at Elveden, Longleat and Sherwood Forest who are there to provide assistance and support leading up to your event

4) Keen to be green

  • Save on paper by using electronic communication such as emails where possible
  • Send copies of presentations by email after the meeting has taken place

5) Utilise the refreshing outdoors

  • Maximise on employee well being, productivity and maintain morale within the work force by utilising outdoor space for team building activities

6) Food for thought
