Build a Habitat Box

It's never too early to get your child interested in protecting our beautiful wildlife. Join the rangers on this hands-on workshop, and make either a bird box, butterfly house, insect house ladybird house or bird feeder. Whatever you choose to make, take it home and give it pride of place in your garden.

Seeing the majestic birds of prey fly from your gloved hand and return with effortless grace is a breathtaking experience you won't forget in a hurry. After an introduction to the medieval art of falconry, you can feel the thrill of flying one of these powerful birds of prey for yourself.

It's not every day you come face-to-face with some of the world's most majestic birds. In our Junior Falconers' Club you'll not only meet several birds of prey, you'll actually be able to handle and fly some of these magnificent birds.

Longleat Walk

In this leisurely stroll through our Nature Reserve, our Conservation Rangers will point out how the carefully-managed habitats create an ideal home for all sorts of plants and animals. The tour then leads you up to Heaven's Gate, an elevated position featuring a collection of stone sculptures along with breathtaking views across the estate's grounds and the magnificent Elizabethan manor at its heart.

Owl Infants

Woodland Awakening

Explore the forest as it awakens. Early in the morning, our Conservation Rangers will take you on a tour round different habitats, giving you an insight into the plants, birds and animals that live there. Then you'll all head off to enjoy a light breakfast as part of the activity.
