A Walk With Trees

As well as native trees, many varieties have been introduced to our forest landscape from around the world. On this fascinating walk through our extensive woodland, Forest Rangers will teach you how to identify various trees and tell you about their history.

Abseiling

Your feet won't touch the ground. In this beginner's abseiling session. You will learn all the necessary rope skills to be able to control your descent back down.

Aerial Adventure

A thrilling combination of Tree Trekking and Zip Wire for the serious adrenaline junkie. You are connected into the ExpoGlider safety harness system whilst you tackle our Aerial Adventure course, experiencing many individual challenges from the Postman's Walk, Giant Spiders Web and up to the Indiana Bridge. For the spectacular finale you will take on the awe-inspiring 9-metre high Zip Wire; it's the experience of a lifetime.

Archery - Field Archery 10yrs+

Creep through the forest, spotting and firing at targets as you go. Our Field Archery course combines archery skills with the thrill of the chase, so it's an exciting way to practice your techniques.

Archery - Robin Hood & Little Johns

Parents and children will learn new skills together and find out who's got the best aim in this fun archery session.

Archery - Target Archery 10yrs+

Go for gold! At our purpose-built Archery Centre, you'll stand in covered bays and fire at targets, trying to hit the gold centre. Your score will depend on where you hit the target.

Art Class

You will learn sketching techniques from an experienced artist. In this enjoyable art class you'll use watercolour pencils to draw, add shape and perspective, and create shade and tone.

Badminton Tournament 8-14yrs

For those with a competitive streak, it's tournament time. Eye up the opposition, sharpen your skills and play to win.

Build a Habitat Box

We take great care to ensure that Center Parcs is a haven for our animal friends. In this fun session for all the family, you can do the same for your garden. By making a nest box, you'll provide a safe and ready made site for blue tits, chaffinches and other types of garden bird to raise their young - and enjoy hours of watching pleasure in the process. Min age 5 yrs

Cheerleading

This fantastic feel-good session introduces you to the world of cheerleading. Our instructors break down a simple cheer routine into manageable chunks for you to learn - including all the popular, well-known cheer moves - so it's perfect for beginners. Min age 10 yrs.

Climbing Skills

Our well-thought out climbing wall has been cleverly designed with routes for beginners that will familiarise them with climbing techniques and skills and more demanding options to challenge experienced climbers. The session starts with tuition and a safety briefing from an experienced instructor, then it's time to head skywards.

Create a Cartoon 8-14yrs

Go cartoon crazy and discover the secrets of animation in our Virtual Zone. First, plan the action on a storyboard, then learn how to create your own cartoon on a PC with full production effects. Your instructor will burn your finished cartoon onto a CD so you can show your mates on a PC back home.

Cricket School 7-13yrs

Whether you're a budding Freddie Flintoff or completely new to the game, our cricket courses are a fun way to improve your batting, bowling and fielding. Our 2 and 3 day courses, run by an NCA professional coach, give you an hour of training followed by a 30 minute game to test-run all your new skills. All players receive a certificate to take away.

Exboard 8-14yrs

Exboard is the next generation in street board design. It is a unique street surfing device that has caught on with skateboarders, snowboarders and surfers alike. Experience the Exboard on our rink, improve your fitness levels, balance and flexibility.

Falconry - Eagles and Hawks

Seeing the majestic birds of prey fly from your gloved hand and return with effortless grace is a breathtaking experience you won't forget in a hurry. After an introduction to the medieval art of falconry, you can feel the thrill of flying one of these powerful birds of prey for yourself.

Family Bird Watching

Learn how to identify many of our local feathered friends by sound as well as by sight as you take a bird's eye view of the forest with one of our Conservation Rangers.

Fashion Makeover 11-14yrs & 15+ yrs

Bring your trendiest clothes to the Photography Studio where an expert make-up artist will apply their skills to make you look your cover-model best, before you strut your stuff in front of a professional photographer in our fully equipped studio. One picture is included in the price and secure online access to all your pictures so you have the option to buy more later if you wish.

Feed the Birds

Join us at the Rangers Lodge to find out exactly what type of food keeps our feathered friends warm and gives them the energy they need to take to the skies. You can become 'little chefs' and mix all the ingredients together to make a tasty morsel that will tempt the woodland birds when they are feeling peckish.

Five A Side 8-13yrs

They shoot, they score! Keen football players of all abilities are invited to join in our lively 5-a-side tournament. We'll organise everyone into teams and play short matches in a mini-league, fit for the premiership.

Family Foil Fencing

In this lively introduction to the ancient and dramatic sport of fencing, our instructors will give you background information and take you through the basic moves such as the 'En Garde' position, the lunge and the parry. Then, equipped with a helmet and foil, a traditional duelling sword, you can practice with a partner. Min age 9yrs.

Gladiator Challenge

Have you got the nerve to take on our challenging course of poles, nets and tyres and find out just how much stamina you've got! Our qualified instructors will be there to guide you every step of the way. Min age 8 yrs.

Evening Social 8-14 yrs

Fancy an evening out without your parents cramping your style? Then come along to our Evening Social. There'll be loads of tasty snacks and drinks and with two hours away from the oldies there'll be plenty of time to make new friends.

High Ropes

Guided by an instructor, you will climb poles to the different levels then balance your way along beams and ropes. But remember, it gets harder the higher you go!

Horse Riding - Adv Cross Country Hack

Being in control of a horse is a real thrill, especially when you can ride out through beautiful countryside. Riders will need to be experienced in all aspects of horsemanship and must ride regularly to tackle this cross country hack. Min age 9 yrs.

Try your hand at riding with a lesson in our indoor teaching centre. Our skilled instructors will show you the ropes in this fun introduction to horse riding.

Indoor Climbing Wall

Our 6 metre (20ft) indoor climbing wall has been designed with routes for beginners as well as more challenging routes for experienced climbers. Trained instructors will be on hand to harness and guide you up, making sure you get to grips with the wall in complete safety.

Calling all budding jewellery designers. Choose from a beautiful selection of beads in a mix of colours, shapes and sizes, then create either a stunning necklace or bracelet that's unique to you. And to complete the look you can create a matching pair of pierced earrings.

Junior Fencing 6yrs+

Similar to Foil Fencing, this lesson is dedicated to our younger guests and their parents with experienced instructors teaching basic fencing skills in a safe environment.

Laser Clay Shoot Out

Take aim with our state-of-the-art, laser-adapted shotgun and see how many clays you can hit as they speed through the air, travelling at up to 65mph. We'll keep score electronically to add a competitive edge to this thrilling shoot out. Min age 8 yrs.

Scuba Diving: Deeper into Diving

A more in-depth and intensive session focusing on how to look after yourself underwater, including regulatory recovery, partial mask flooding and alternative air source in and 'out of air' situation. Please note: You can only book this session if, you have booked to do, or previously completed our 'Try Scuba' course.

Scuba Diving: Try Scuba

If the idea of entering an underwater world intrigues you, our fun Try Scuba session is the perfect place to start. Under the expert guidance of our PADI instructors, you'll get a taste of all the basic diving skills - including correct breathing. Amazing. Sherwood Detectives

If you like CSI and TV detective shows and you enjoy cracking codes and solving mysteries, then this daytime murder mystery is for you. There will be clues scattered about the forest. If there are a lot of children, teams will be formed to race each other. The winners will receive a certificate to show what great detectives they are.

Snorkelling: Learn Snorkelling

Our experienced tutors can teach you all the techniques you need to explore sea life on your next trip abroad.

Soccer School 10-14yrs

Dribbling, kicking, passing, marking, tackling, heading and, hopefully, scoring! The many techniques of the beautiful game are taught by our FA coach in our Soccer school courses. Each session combines an hour of intensive training, followed by a 30 minute game. At the end of the course we award prizes for a variety of achievements and everyone receives a certificate. 2 day Weekend course - Individual days can also be booked 3 day Midweek course - Individual days can also be booked.

Your secret agent training begins here. Our village is a cover for a secret spy training base designed by former surveillance experts. At the Virtual Zone, you will be allocated a unique code name and password to allow you to access your online mission briefings.

Survival Special 8-14 yrs

It's back to nature time. Go native and learn to survive when 'lost' in the middle of a forest with no tent and just a few rations. After you arrive at a secret forest location we will teach basic survival techniques, including how to build a shelter.

Treasure Trail

Always a popular activity, this treasure hunt on bikes sends you all over the forest. It'll take team work and co-operation to crack all the clues and if you get them all right, you'll each win a prize.

Virtual Design 8-14 years

Your child will make a T-Shirt, Coaster, Mug, Puzzle, Mousemat or Clock created from their very own design in this fascinating activity. Using the computers in our Virtual Zone, your child can experiment with different images or patterns.

Watercolour Art

Express your artistic side in this creative painting class. With expert tuition to guide you, sketch either a still life or landscape then bring your painting to life with vibrant watercolours. Min age 14 yrs.

Woodland Awakening

Explore the forest as it awakens. Early in the morning, our Conservation Rangers will take you on a tour round different habitats, giving you an insight into the plants, birds and animals that live there.

Zip Wire

Our qualified instructors will connect you to the Zip Wire as you get ready to travel down the wire. There is no feeling quite like it.
