Abseiling

Falling to earth is such an exhilarating feeling and in this beginner's abseiling session you'll learn all the necessary rope skills to be able to climb our 13 metre tower and control your descent back down to the bottom.

Adventure Golf

Travel back in time when you embark on a special golf adventure into Roman Britain. Then if you feel really brave why not peer over 'Hadrian's Wall' and putt your way through Ancient Britain.

Adventure Playground

Our Adventure Playground is the perfect place for children to burn off excess energy.

An Outing With Owls

Up close, owls are even more beautiful, at this magical session for both adults and children you will meet, stroke and handle some of the world's most fascinating and beautiful owls. Be amazed at the grace and beauty of an owl as it flies silently to your gloved fist, in the care of our professional falconers. Suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.

Birds of Prey Experience

In this exciting introduction to the medieval art of falconry, our expert handlers will present our magnificent birds, including species such as owls, falcons and hawks. You'll then have the chance to fly one of these impressive predators from your gloved fist.

Build a Habitat box

It's never too early to get your child interested in protecting our beautiful wildlife. Join the rangers on this hands-on workshop, and make either a bird box, butterfly house, insect house ladybird house or bird feeder. Whatever you choose to make, take it home and give it pride of place in your garden.

Climbing

Our 9 metre climbing wall has been cleverly designed with routes for beginners that will familiarise them with climbing techniques and skills, and more demanding options to challenge experienced climbers. The session starts with tuition and a safety briefing from an experienced instructor, then it's time to head skywards.

Exboard

Exboard is the next generation in street board design. It is a unique street surfing device that has caught on with skateboarders, snowboarders and surfers alike. Experience the Exboard on our rink, improve your fitness levels, balance and flexibility.

Full protective equipment is provided and is compulsory.

Family Bird Watching Walk

Learn how to identify many of our feathered friends by sound as well as by sight as you take a bird's eye view of the forest with one of our Conservation Rangers.

Family Pony Trekking

The whole family can enjoy a gentle forest walk, perfect for introducing the absolute beginner to the joys of horse riding. Children 4 years and under must be held and supported on the horse by a walking adult. Lead reins are available for adults and older children, please enquire at the time of booking .

Fan Descender

For a serious adrenaline surge! Experience the thrill of a simulated parachute jump as you step off the 13 metre platform and descend quickly and controlled to the ground.

Feed the Birds

Join us at the Rangers Lodge to find out exactly what type of food keeps these beautiful little creatures warm and gives them the energy they need to take to the skies. You can then become 'little chefs' and mix all the ingredients together to make a tasty morsel that will tempt the woodland birds when they are feeling peckish. Everything you need will be provided, so just bring yourself along (with an adult if you are under 12 years old) and enjoy the fun. Please note that ingredients will include peanuts.

Go Ballistic

Exciting fun and games session for children in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. Includes team games using floats, balls, inflatables and toys as part of the aquatic experience.

Hawk Walk

The hawk is an impressive bird of prey and this opportunity to learn more about its relationship with nature and with man is not to be missed. You'll also have the chance to fly a hawk and watch it feed from your gloved fist.

High Ropes

A cunning collection of poles, ropes and beams form a daring course of action, set out to include the 'Multi Vine', 'Balancing Beams', the 'Inclined Log', Leap of Faith and 'High All Abroad'.

Junior Champions league

Football fans won't want to miss this exciting event, run in true Champions League style. Players represent the biggest clubs in European football and compete in group stages, before moving on to the knock-out stage. Will you make it through to the grand final and win the league?

Junior Fencing

Let the swashbuckling begin! Aspiring D'Artagnan's can try their hand at fencing using foam swords, safely protected by plastic masks.

Junior Olympics

Why wait for 2012 when you could take part in the Center Parcs Junior Olympics right now? In this fun tournament you could join in team and individual events with a winners' ceremony at the end, where the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed from each session will receive a medal. Please come in suitable sportswear.

Lad's and Dad's Cricket

Young and old (related or not) are all welcome to join in with a light hearted Center Parcs version of the Ashes. Each team has 2 innings but whether you win or not, you're bound to enjoy taking part.

Laser Combat

A family paintball adventure without the paint! Armed with state-of-the-art laser guns you and your team sneak through the forest, manoeuvring around barricades to beat your rivals and solve the Ranger Mission.

Little People's Llama Experience

After a fun yet educational talk about the friendly character of the llama, you'll set off on a short walk that's perfect for younger legs, leading the llamas as you go. There are plenty of chances to stroke the llamas, and for great photo opportunities - plus the children receive a picture to colour of the llama they lead and a certificate of participation.

Madness and Mayhem

Get ready for action-packed session that starts with designing your own t-shirt. You can then wear your creation as you take part in all sorts of games and quizzes with new friends. As this is a long session, we'll make sure you have drinks and snacks too.

Magical Makeovers

For all children with a yearning to be a fairytale character or superhero, we'll make their dream come true. They can choose from a fantastic array of wonderful costumes then, with clever make-up and brilliant painted backdrops, their transformation is complete and recorded for all time on a photo to take home.

Mini Tennis Academy

Every champion has to start somewhere and mini tennis, played with short racquets and larger, soft balls, is a superb way of introducing children to the skills and techniques of tennis. Led by our Center Parcs coaching team, a 30 minute practice session is followed by 15 minutes of games.

Mini Wimbledon Tournament

Played with a short racket and soft ball, mini tennis is a great introduction to tennis. And our tournament is a great introduction to competitive play. It's fast moving, exciting and brings out everyone's competitive streak!

Multi Sport Challenge

Want to show off your sporting skills? Then take the Multi Sport Challenge – an action packed hour of fun! Held at the Soccer Circus, you'll play everything from basketball to hockey, scoring points by hitting the lights on the special panels. Will your team be going for gold?

Junior teams are for 8 to 14 years olds; Minis are for 5 to 7 year olds.

Painting Pottery

Young and old alike go potty for our pottery painting studio! Choose a piece of pottery from a huge selection, paint it with your own design we'll professionally glaze and fire it for you to take home.

Pony Pals

To a pony-mad youngster, learning how to pamper one is exciting as riding one. On this fun and rewarding session, experienced instructors share their knowledge with the children – from teaching them the basics of grooming, to glittering hooves and plaiting manes. A tranquil forest ride follows.

Quad Track Challenge

After a safety briefing, each child learns techniques for handling and controlling the 50cc quad bikes from an instructor, then goes on a fully supervised practise lap. When they're confi dent, they'll take it in turns to zip round the exciting, purpose-built track.

Rangers Ramble

An easy stroll around the village nature trails in the company of a Conservation ranger, who'll point out the forest's many secrets, from rare plants to what our squirrels eat for lunch.

Robin Hood & Little John

Learn new skills together and find out who's got the best aim in our parent and child archery session.

Soccer Circus

Are you ready to take on the challenge? Soccer circus is a fantastic, fun, family activity developed by former England player and manager Kevin Keegan. It's guaranteed to be loved by all ages and abilities, ensure you bring along Mum too! This exciting attraction will test your skills by dribbling, passing, shooting and throwing your way
to the best score. You require no experience just the ability to have lots of fun.

Under 4s are free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Soccer Shoot Out

Can you make the shot when you're under pressure? You're up against our Sports Plaza goalie in this exciting penalty shoot out.

Sport 14 Sailing Tuition

A Sport 14 is a double or single sailed dinghy that carries up to 4 people. Three of you can climb aboard for basic tuition and a thrilling demonstration from your instructor.

Tanks

Ever looked at the churning caterpillar tracks of a tank and wondered what it would be like to actually drive the vehicle? Brand new to the UK, our Tank session lets you do exactly that! Each one-man tank is powered by a Honda engine and controlled by hydraulic levers just like those in full-size versions. Once out on the purpose-built track, you can tackle the lumps, bumps and ditches that are too much for vehicles with boring old wheels.

Soccer Coaching Programme

Dribbling, kicking, passing, marking, tackling, heading and, hopefully, scoring! All the many techniques of the beautiful game are taught by our BCSSA coaches using their unique soccer theme park equipment, such as dribbling mannequins and free kick walls. each session combines intensive training with short matches so every player can put their new skills into practice.

Squirrel Session

Join the ranger on a short walk and join in games and activities designed to teach you more about red squirrels.

Swimming Academy

Being able to swim competently opens up a whole world of fun and adventure. Our qualified instructors will help swimmers of all levels build their confidence in the pool, learning basic techniques and different swimming strokes. When you're happy that they're safe in the water, you can let them loose on the exciting children's flumes, pools and attraction in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise.

Treasure Trail

Fancy having a go on our Treasure Hunt? Come along to the Rangers' Lodge and get the first clue to lead you on a tour of the forest.

Tree Trekking

You are connected into the Expo Glider safety harness system whilst you tackle our Aerial Adventure course, experiencing the many individual challenges from the Postman's Walk, Burma Bridge, Hanging Platforms and Indiana Bridge to make the exhilarating 13 metres Power Fan finale where you will make a quick and controlled descent to the ground.

Willow Weaving

Try your hand at this old woodland craft and join the rangers in making willow woven objects/structures.

Woodland Awakening

Work up an appetite by exploring the forest in the morning. One things for sure - you're bound to to enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

Woodland Carriage Ride

This exhilarating carriage ride, led by a team of professional drivers and magnificent horses whisks you off on a tour of the surrounding woodland.

Zip Wire

This is the ultimate rush! Climb to the top of our 13-metre tower (via ladders) where you will be attached to the wire. Then fly through the trees and abseil to the ground.
