A magical session for both adults and children. Meet, stroke and handle some of the worlds most fascinating and beautiful owls. Be amazed at the grace and beauty of an owl as it flies silently to your gloved fist, in the care of our professional falconers.

A hands-on experience, when you will be introduced to magnificent birds of prey and given an opportunity to handle them.

Forest Walk

Here you can discover the delights of the forest and see the animals' natural habitat. One of our Rangers will accompany you to show you the most picturesque and dramatic parts of the forest.

Fungi Foray

Join the ranger and discover some of the wonderful mushrooms and toadstools to be found in the forest.

Hawk Walk

A session that gives you the opportunity to experience the flight of this most intelligent bird as it feeds from your gloved fist! Learn about birds of prey and their relationships with both nature and man.

Senses Trail

Using our self guided trail, test your senses and discover the secrets of our beautiful woodland. Ideal for the whole family to enjoy.

Squirrel Session

Join the ranger on a short walk and join in games and activities designed to teach you more about red squirrels.

Treasure Hunt

Fancy having a go on our Treasure Hunt? Come along to the Rangers' Lodge and get the first clue to lead you on a tour of the forest.

Willow Weaving

Try your hand at this old woodland craft and join the rangers in making willow woven objects/structures.

Woodland Awakening

Work up an appetite by exploring the forest in the morning. One things for sure - you're bound to enjoy the peace and tranquillity not to mention the pure Cumbrain air.
