Accessible Accommodation Exclusive House 49
This provides two storey accommodation with five bedrooms (one fully accessible), accessible living accommodation and kitchen. Only 4 bedrooms are available for occupancy at one time.
Parking
Designated accessible parking is provided next to the lodge.
Access
There is access for guests using wheelchairs throughout the ground floor of the accommodation. This includes into the other ground floor bedroom, although there is limited manoeuvring space once in the bedroom. There is level access to the patio via the accessible bedroom and dining area.
Accessible Bedroom
This is provided with one 914mm x 1981mm (3ft x 6ft 6in) bed, and one fully adjustable automatic hydraulic bed. This is a Volker Electric bed with adjustable and retractable bed sides with wheels to aid movement. There are bumpers and an insert available to go between the two sections of the bed sides which is available from Guest Services. There is space beneath both beds to allow a hoist to be used at the bed. A portable hoist is not provided within the accommodation. If one is required Center Parcs will arrange for the hire of a hoist at no extra cost. An emergency alarm pull cord is present. The ensuite bathroom with sliding door provides accessible shower (with flip down seat), wash hand basin and toilet. An emergency alarm pull cord is provided at the shower.
Emergency alarms are audible throughout the lodge but are not connected to a central location.
Kitchen
The hob is at counter height 910mm. A further work surface at 760mm height is also provided. The microwave is accessible at 930mm height. The oven is at low level. The fridge is part of a fridge freezer, with the fridge on top and therefore accessible. (Top shelves are therefore out of reach). The sink is at 900mm (standard height). There are no cupboards beneath. There are sufficient floor-based cupboards to provide accessible storage. There are also high-level wall mounted cupboards.
Living Accommodation
There is seating for eight in the lounge area. In addition, a high seated firm chair is available within the accommodation. There is also space within the lounge area for a person using a wheelchair to remain seated in their wheelchair. The dining table has an adapted position that provides sufficient knee space for a guest using a wheelchair.
Sauna, Steam Room, Shower & Hot Tub
The sauna, steam room and power shower have level access and doors which allow wheelchair entry. Wheelchairs with metal fitting will become sufficiently hot to burn in the sauna and steam room. Guests should be able to transfer from their wheelchairs in order to use these facilities. No transferring facilities are available within the accommodation.
Sauna access width 840mm Steam Room access width 880mm Shower access width 880mm The external hot tub is provided with an Oxford 140 Dipperlift hoist and Oxford full back sling. The maximum safe working load is 140 Kg (308lbs). A Ranger chair is appropriate for use with the hoist and may be used if brought with you.
Whirlpool Baths
If the jets in the Whirlpool baths which are fitted in some of our accommodations are continually covered for significant lengths of time they become hot. This makes the baths unsuitable for guests with a sensory impairment who would fail to detect the gradual warming only for very short periods of use. For guests with lower limb mobility restrictions (or particularly for those with lower limb mobility restrictions accompanied by sensory impairment) extreme care must be exercised in using the aeration function on the baths.
Maximum Occupancy
This lodge is a dual use lodge, meaning that it can be booked by guests requiring use of the accessible bedroom or not. The facilities provided are sufficient for eight adults. The accommodation may therefore only be booked for parties of eight, not ten. (Please refer to booking conditions regarding children under two years).
Exclusive Lodge 896

Woodland Lodges 2 bedrooms – 631 3 bedrooms – 552, 553, 579, 711, 782 3 bedrooms – 716
These provide single storey accommodation with a variable number of bedrooms, one of which will be fully accessible with accessible bathroom, accessible living accommodation and kitchen.
Parking

This is provided with one 762mm bed, and one fully adjustable automatic hydraulic bed. This is a Volker Electric bed with adjustable and retractable bed sides with wheels to aid movement. There are bumpers and an insert available to go between the two sections of the bed sides which is available from Guest Services. There is space beneath the bed to allow a hoist to be used. A portable hoist is not provided within the accommodation. If one is required Center Parcs will arrange for the hire of a hoist at no extra cost.
The accessible bathroom provides accessible shower (with flip down seat), wash hand basin and toilet. An emergency alarm pull cord is provided at the shower. Emergency alarms are audible throughout the accommodation but are not connected to a central location.
Kitchen
The hob is located above the oven, height 900mm.The gas oven has a side opening door. Work surface at accessible height is provided. The microwave toaster and kettle are accessible. Lodge 782 has an extra lowered counter – 750mm. There is an accessible fridge. The sink is at 900mm (standard height), with front fitted taps. There are sufficient floor-based cupboards to provide accessible storage. There are also high-level wall mounted cupboards.
Living Accommodation
There is seating for all occupants of the accommodation in the lounge area. In addition, a high seated firm chair with footstool is available within the accommodation. There is also space within the lounge area for a wheelchair. The dining table has an adapted position that provides sufficient knee space for a guest using a wheelchair. There is level access to the patio via the accessible lounge area.
Partially Accessible Accommodation, Lodges 817, 821, 825
These provide single storey accommodation with three bedrooms, one of which will be more accessible, an accessible bathroom, and a bathroom with no adaptations, accessible living accommodation and kitchen.
Parking
Designated accessible parking is provided by the lodge.
Access
The path to accommodation is narrow. Throughout the lodge thresholds are not level – there is a lip of 10-15mm.Entrance corridor width is 1080mm. There is access for guests using wheelchairs throughout the accommodation. This includes into the other bedrooms, although there is limited manoeuvring space once in the bedrooms. There is level access to the patio via the lounge area.
Accessible Bedroom
This measures 3130mm by 3160mm (approx). This is provided with one 914mm x 1981mm (3ft x 6ft 6in) bed and one fully adjustable automatic hydraulic bed. This is a Volker Electric bed with adjustable and retractable bed sides with wheels to aid movement. There are bumpers and an insert available to go between the two sections of the bed sides which is available from Guest Services.
There is space beneath the bed to allow a hoist to be used. A portable hoist is not provided within the accommodation. If one is required Center Parcs will arrange for the hire of a hoist at no extra cost. There is an emergency alarm in the bedroom.
Accessible Bathroom
The accessible bathroom (measuring 2220 x 2820mm) has a sliding door and provides accessible shower, wash hand basin and toilet. The toilet may require skilled assistance for use due to its peninsular layout. An emergency alarm pull cord is provided at the shower. Emergency alarms are audible throughout the accommodation but are not connected to a central location.
Kitchen
The kitchen affords basic manoeuvring space but is not compliant. Worktops are at 730mm height. The oven is low level and has a side opening door. Under counter fridge is provided. There is a cupboard situated beneath under the sink that does not facilitate access. There are sufficient floor-based cupboards to provide accessible storage. There are also high-level wall mounted cupboards.
Living Accommodation
There is seating for all occupants of the lodge in the lounge area. In addition, a high seated firm chair with footstool is available within the accommodation. There is also space within the lounge area for a wheelchair.
Guests using wheelchairs can be seated at the dining table depending on the height of the wheelchair used.
Standard Bathroom
The bathroom is not of sufficient size to create a bath with independent access.
Patio Area
There is level access to patios.
Accommodation without Adaptations
Treehouses
The four Treehouses are accessed by walkways, ranging from 80 metres to 40 metres, with a maximum gradient of 1:20. The Treehouses have their own parking area.
Access
Our treehouses have level access into the accommodation. Each Treehouse has a rear terrace and games room with level access.
Bedrooms
There are four en-suite bedrooms, one double room upstairs and one double and two twin rooms on the ground floor, accessible from the living area. Wheelchair users may experience difficulty in manoeuvring around these rooms due to limited turning space.
Bathrooms/Toilets
All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is also a toilet leading from the main entrance hall. These facilities are not adapted.
Kitchen
The kitchen affords basic manoeuvring space in a wheelchair. However, it is not designed for adapted living.
Living Area
There is seating for all occupants of the accommodation in the lounge and games room. There is also enough space within the lounge area and games room for a wheelchair to manoeuvre.
Hot Tub & Sauna
On the rear terrace there is access to the Hot tub and Sauna, both of these facilities are not designed for adapted living.
Treehouse Host
This accommodation is service by a Treehouse Host who will assist in making your stay as Comfortable as possible within the physical constraints of the accommodation. Please ask when making your booking.
Waterside Lodges
Access into the Waterside Lodges is on to the first floor. Access to the ground floor is only by stairs.
Bedrooms.
There are three double bedrooms, all en-suite, situated on the first level on the accommodation. Wheelchair users may experience difficulty in manoeuvring around these rooms due to limited turning space.
Kitchen and Living area
Both areas afford a basic manoeuvring space in a wheelchair. However, they are not designed for adapted living and are only accessible by stairs.
Bathrooms/Toilets
All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms. There is also a toilet on the ground floor. These facilities are not adapted.
Hot Tub
From the rear downstairs balcony door there is access to a hot tub. This facility is not designed for adapted living.
There is a variety of other Lodge styles and types, ranging from one-bedroom apartments, through to four bed roomed exclusives.
The majority are single storey, however a small number of executive and exclusive lodges are two storeys.
Due to the forest location, paths to lodges may be narrow, long, steep or stepped.
Parking for these lodges is in the main car park (with the exception of some exclusive and executive accommodation). Vehicles are allowed on village for unloading and loading.
However alternative arrangements can be made for medical necessity in exceptional circumstances.
Internally, accommodation may not provide wheelchair access into any or all of the rooms. Manoeuvring space is restricted and bathrooms and kitchens are not adapted.
