Boathouse

Boathouse kiosk is provided with a lowered counter for easier accessibility for wheelchair users. A clipboard can be provided for signing documentation when required Entrance to the boathouse is via a small ramp.

Toilet

Accessible toilets, changing rooms and shower are available.

Beach

The main beach area is sand. There is a firm path.

Activities

The Boathouse welcomes guests with specific/individual requirements but requires advanced notice. As the water sports activities are physically demanding, not all activities will be suitable for all guests. Each activity has strict safety requirements, which our staff have to follow.

Our staff will be happy to discuss individual requirements either by phone/email prior to your visit or on site during your stay.

Kayak (Single / Double)

Access is via the beach which can cause some mobility difficulties although boats can be relocated to aid launching. The boats have no backrest for support. All boats have high stability and we have singles and doubles. Various paddle lengths are available.

Pedalos

Use of legs is required to propel the pedalo but these are suitable for most as a passenger, providing they can be accessed. Access is via a jetty with a step.

Rowing boats

Access via the beach but can be relocated to the jetty if the beach creates access problems. There is no back support in these boats.

Katakanu

Access is via the beach which can cause some mobility difficulties although boats can be relocated to aid launching. The boats have no backrests for support. All boats have high stability and we have singles and doubles. Various paddle lengths are available. All guests must be able to swim to participate.

Canoe Capers

Access is via the beach which can cause some mobility difficulties although boats can be relocated to aid launching. The boats have no backrest for support and can be unstable. All guests must be able to swim to participate.

Electric Boats

Accessed via the jetty, these boats have a backrest to aid comfort and are very stable.

Raft Building

Can be unstable, accessed via the beach area, various paddle lengths are available. All guests must be able to swim to participate.

Stand up Paddle Board

Very unstable, need the use of both arms to paddle board All guests must be able to swim to participate.

Water Font Kiosk

There is level access to the kiosk. Staff will be happy to come around the counter to communicate if the need arises or to hand products to you when they have been purchased.

Aqua Parc

This is a physically demanding activity that will require guests to climb over obstacles and pull their own body weight onto the structure. The structure itself can also be unstable. All guests must be able to swim to participate. Please contact us in advance if you use a prosthetic limb. We’ll work with you to make this activity accessible for you.
