Jardin des Sports

 

Jardin des Sports

A bike park is situated very close to the main entrance to JDS.

The main entrance to the JDS has double door entry with a wide lobby between the two sets of manually operated doors.

The JDS is the closest location to the following activities:

  • Some tennis courts
  • Outdoor Bowling Green
  • Woodland Warriors and Mini Woodland Warriors outdoor play areas
  • Indoor Climbing Adventure
  • Badminton Courts
  • Virtual Reality

Lift

Lifts and stairs provide access to the Sports Function hall on first floor level and to the Main Sports Hall and Roller rink on the lower ground floor level. The lift to the main sports hall is accessed from the balcony overlooking the hall close to the aerobics studio. All other areas of the Jardin des Sports are at ground floor level.

Toilets

Accessible toilets are available at ground floor level within the JDS close to the stairs to the roller-skating hall.

Changing Facilities – Changing Places

Accessible changing facilities and a changing place facility are available within the JDS.

Induction Hearing Loops

A portable Induction loop is available for use throughout the JDS. It is normally located at the Leisure Booking Desk.

Leisure Booking Point

A lowered counter is provided at the Leisure Booking Point, at the end closest to Sportique.

Gym

Access to the gym is level with a push pad security code controlled access. Any member of staff will provide assistance to use the push pad. The gym houses standard gym equipment. Please contact the Leisure Booking Desk to establish if the gym will be suitable for you. Center Parcs does not provide free weights.

Bowling Lanes

The bowling lane area has ramped access and bowling ramps.

Lighting

The lighting levels are subdued with some UV lighting effects.

Noise

The area has background music.

Games Room

The Games Room has level access.  There are a variety of snooker, pool and American pool tables and table tennis tables

The area has a lively atmosphere with background music and TV screens showing sporting events.

House of Games

This area has level access.  House of Games also has background music.  Some of the machines have flashing lights and sound effects.

Outdoor Bowling Green

There is a ramp down to the green.

External Tennis Courts

Whilst none are accessed by steps, some have a short steep incline to the entrance point.

Indoor Climbing Adventure

This area is located on the Badminton Court area can be accessed via a lift. The activity requires excellent mobility throughout and is physically challenging.

Badminton Courts

These courts can be accessed via a lift.

Virtual Reality

Access to the activity has a small ramp to the area and then a step into the Virtual Box.  This activity requires excellent mobility throughout.

Starbucks

Starbucks is situated opposite the entrance to the JDS and has level access. The inner tables within the unit have a view of the main Sports Hall and Roller rink arena.  The counter is low level.  Staff are on hand to assist if necessary.
