Entertainment Hive

Hive

The Hive is situated adjacent to Leisure Bowl at Village square north.

Access to the Hive is via a long ramp from ground level on the village paths. The Hive can also be accessed from the lift in the foyer of the Swimming pool (STSP).

Wheelchairs are fully accessible throughout, and accessible toilets are provided also within The Entertainment Hive.

The Entertainment Hive provides a family bar with music

Seating is provided within the Hive area with bar stools.

Lighting

Lighting in the area is subdued, particularly during the evening. This is due to the projectors and camera sensors used within the activity requiring lower lighting levels to operate effectively.

Counter

The bar does not offer a lowered counter; however, Center Parcs colleagues will also provide reasonable assistance to provide service at the bar or booking point.

Noise levels can be louder than ambient when busy however a Portable hearing loop is available on request.

Shuffleboard

We have 4 shuffleboard tables, 2 of them are in close proximately to the wall, which may limit turning in a wheelchair.

The shuffle boards are 71cms from Floor to tabletop and visibility is good from a seated position.

Darts

There are 3 Dart lanes located in the Hive. Each lane is wide enough for a wheelchair however the dart boards are higher on the wall so may be tricky to hit from a seating position. When collecting darts it may require some assistance.

Puttify

There are 9 holes each one with a different theme. Each hole is a minimum of a 20cm step up with the largest step up being 45cm. There are adapted clubs available if required that mean the holes can be played without needing to stand on the platform however, hole 6 is not accessible with the adapted clubs due to the long ramp.
