External Play Areas

Adventure Play Area - Plaza

Located at the front of the Plaza, this play area can be accessed from the Red Way main walkway, via stairs or level access.

The play equipment is suitable for children of differing ages, please check the play area signage for age ranges of the equipment. The play equipment consists of modular timber constructions incorporating slides, swings, rope bridges and other climbing activities.

The play surface is play bark.

An accessible toilet is available in the Plaza between treats and Café Rouge.

Adventure Play area - Village Square

This play area can be accessed by steps from near Foresters Kitchen Terrace and by level access from near the Pancake House or from the pathway that leads from Village Square to the Pancake House. The play equipment consists of rustic timber constructions incorporating slides, swings, rope bridges and other climbing activities.

The pathway through the play area is on tarmac and is accessible to wheelchairs. There are no specific activities designed for children in wheelchairs.

An accessible toilet is available in the Foresters' Kitchen and Terrace or the Pancake House.

Adventure Play area - Sports Plaza

There are three play areas for children of different ages which are accessed by stairs from the Boardwalk and by steps or sloped boardwalk from the path leading from the Sports Plaza or directly from a level surface.

There is play equipment accessible for children in wheelchairs.

Accessible toilets are available within the Sports Plaza.

The play surface is play bark or sand.

An accessible toilet is available in the Sports Plaza as well as a Changing Place.

Play area on the beach

This play area is situated on a play sand surface and is accessed by the path that leads around the lake near to the Boathouse.

An accessible toilet is available at the Boathouse.

Adventure Play Area – Fir Zone

There are two play areas in Fir Zone for children of different ages with level access.

There is a large climbing frame constructed from rustic timber with a play bark surface

There is an area with a wooden treehouse and spinning activities and wooden rockers for younger children.

The nearest accessible toilet is approximately a 15-minute walk to the Sports Plaza.
