Perfect Birthday (belated) weekend with Family
@ElsMc- October 2020, Whinfell Forest
"Amazing stay! Family of 9 with 2 lodges between us, stayed Fri-Mon for a birthday celebration which was perfect. We stayed in Meadowview as we didn't want to be too near to the centre and hive of activities which we think would of been too noisy for us. Due to the Tiered restrictions and working safely with social distancing etc, I believe things were slightly different to normal but everything felt safe and well planned and not out of the ordinary so it worked just fine.
Prior to our trip we had good email and text communication from CP with any advice, updates and how to plan our trip safely and how to adhere to current guidelines, with a great "Activity" booking system which helped organise our trip to include everything we wanted and this also meant there was no waiting around/queueing to pay etc when we were actually there. Bike hire and all activities /entrances were well sanitised and organised to allow for social distancing. They allowed us to change a childs bike safely on the 2nd day due to needing a different size.
Our lodges were clean and well maintained, they were an adequate size for the amount of people staying there, the kitchen had everything you'd need. There could have been better instructions for the kitchen appliances and we did find there were bits of paint splattered in some of the bathrooms. Temperature, lighting and safety all felt good in the lodges. We had a 2 bed new style woodland (for 2 adults and 2 children) and a 3 bed new style executive 2 storey lodge for 5 adults (slept 6). It's understandable due to the period in which we were travelling that we could only access our lodges from 4pm and had to leave them by 10am to allow extra time for cleaning and preparation etc for the next guests but it would of been nice to access them for longer in-order to get more out of the stay, although we could stay on site for a couple of hours either side which was nice.
We booked 2 sessions at the Subtropical Swimming Paradise (current restrictions only allow two 2 hour slots for a weekend break) which was enough, the Fri eve was nice and quiet but Sun afternoon was a bit too busy for comfort. There was a temperature check on arrival and organised use of the changing rooms, we weren't able to use the vanity area, showers or dryers, there was also a one-way system in place aaround the pool which in theory is a good idea but occasionally meant a long walk round to certain areas, good to see that slides were still accessible.
We did a Family Carriage ride where the horse and carriage was dressed up for Halloween, we did the 9 hole Adventure Golf which was a good price and lots of fun for everyone (clubs&balls were cleaned before and after) , some of the party did Badminton and Snooker (had to wear facemasks for the latter). We also enjoyed kayaking and the electric boat. Our days were jam packed full and we managed to still find time for cycling around the park looking for Red Squirrels and visiting the bird hide.
We had pre-booked a meal at Hucks American Diner where we were well looked after and the food was very nice. Some of us ended up also ordering a takeaway from there the night before but we were more disappointed with that. The takeaway came fairly quick and on-time, however we had called ahead to ask for some condiments which we were advised would come with it anyway but we didn't get any, the delivery driver had left before we realised. It was good however that I believe there was more choice of takeaway than normal from the onsite restaurants, due to there being less availability at the restaurants themselves.
All staff we came across were friendly and helpful. The whole area was well kept and clean and tidy, with lovely peaceful views. I would definitely recommend this Center Parcs and hope to return once again, brilliant fun and relaxing for quality family time or time spent with friends.
Tip: definitely get/use a map of the site as it took us a few days to get our bearings and work out the quickest way to get to the activity areas as around the lodges it all looks the same!
The whole place still had good atmosphere but also felt safe, the weekend was exactly what we'd hoped for, it was easy to happily forget what is going on in the "outside world"."
Stress Free Break
@JRC124- October 2020, Sherwood Forest
"We have been visiting Center Parcs for the last 26 years so knew they would do all they could to protect us. From the moment we checked in it was obvious that everything had been done to ensure that any risk of contamination was kept to an absolute minimum.
Our villa was spotlessly clean and you could actually smell the disinfectant when we entered, the smell soon wore off but reassured us that it had been cleaned to the highest of standards.
Throughout the village there were sanitising stations and temperatures were checked before entering any venues.
We spent a lot of time at The Spa. The staff were wonderful and we got a warm welcome as usual from Laura! Once inside the spa there were so many staff there ensuring that our safety was prioritised and yet our comfort and relaxation was never compromised. The treatments were wonderful and again, extra precautions had been taken and the staff went out of their way to make you feel both safe and comfortable. Rita’s socially distanced meditation session was just wonderful and sent us to the next level of relaxation.
All activities and restaurants had to be pre-booked which worked really well. We were able to book tennis at the last minute so avoided the rain.
The restaurants offered a takeaway service which was delivered directly to the villa. We did this most nights but also visited Rashinda Pradesh and Cafe Rouge. All tables were well distanced and once again we felt completely safe.
I would like to thank Center Parcs for ensuring that me and my family felt so well protected during our break and also a big, big thank you to all of the staff who were all so calm, polite and welcoming at what must be a stressful time for them."

"This was the first time for me and my daughter going however we was with friends that have previously been. Wow what can I say, this place is amazing. Even though it rained all day this did not stop us being outdoors, with kids doing Kayaking , high ropes and zip wires🤗🤗 these activities are a must the kids loved them and was kept safe by having there own instructor on the high ropes. Pancake house was amazing however would recommend that you stick to sweet pancakes. I had Mexican meet one for main and not sure it works on a pancake, however it’s a must to try the banoffee pancake stack. Even though the covid restrictions were in place it made you feel safe and the whole atmosphere was still amazing. So good we have rebooked for January Well done Center Parcs 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"
Half term happiness
@JosieGirl70- October 2020, Longleat Forest
"My family and I stayed at Longleat during the October half term. We had booked an executive lodge for a birthday celebration but CPs had amazingly upgraded us to the exclusive lodge. It was fabulous. Great space, spotlessly clean and warm and cosy. The hot tub was especially welcome.
All the staff from check in, the spa, the sports hall, restaurants and the takeaway delivery drivers were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. They must find it so difficult with the limit numbers and social distancing but you’d never know. It was odd seeing the place half empty but we thoroughly enjoyed our time there, especially in the spa as there were only a few people there and it looked to have been recently done out, a great use of space and some wonderful rooms to unwind in, Thank you CPs for a perfectly chilled break..."
Relaxing end to half term
@madkazza44- November 2020, Longleat Forest
"Had a fabulous weekend at Longleat Center Parcs at the end of half term. We’ve been many times before and it’s never been better! Everything was spotless and so well organised. Essential to book activities and restaurants in advance. We had a wonderful 3 hour session in the Aqua Sana spa, 2 trips to the pool, a game of badminton. Numerous Starbucks and great meals in Bella Italian, Cafe Rouge and the Sports Cafe. Staff went out of their way to ensure everything was operating safely. Couldn’t have asked for more."

"We are seasoned center parcs ambassadors of over 32 years, but had never been to elvedon. We came to celebrate our daughter in law's 40th birthday and have had the most wonderful midweek break! Blessed with beautiful weather, lovely waterside apartments which were close to the centre. The whole week was outside activities, biking, bowling, electric pedaloes, adventure golf, walking, enjoying metals outdoors with drinking interludes! Staff at all venues; leisure bowl, cafe rouge, bella italia, ten pin bowling, sports bar, pancake house absolutely amazing and very attentive Thanks and we will see you soon xxx"

"We just got back from a 4 night stay at Center parcs Elvedon and had the best time! The quality of family time is like no other and after lockdown it was just what we needed as a family to enjoy each other’s company and be together just the week before our daughter went back to school! We was lucky enough to see so much beautiful wildlife peacocks and deers we’re outside our room nearly every day! We also came last year and stayed in the same apartment so it’s becoming like a home from home for us now, This year was the first year my daughter was tall enough to do the tree trecking adventure and the cyclone slide which absolutely made her trip so much more memorable, I booked all our actives and restaurants a few weeks before we come so we was lucky enough to not miss out on anything we wanted to do the staff are all so friendly when walking around the park with “good mornings” and smiles it’s a real sense of community. They have really gone above and beyond to make sure they follow all social distancing guidelines and have put some great measures in place everything is cleaned after every use and the park itself is so clean with hand sanitisers dotted around everywhere, We come here every year and every year without fail I am never disappointed I recommend Center Parcs to all my family and friends! Already looking forward to next year. Thank you so much Center parcs for the most amazing time! :)"
Excellent break just what we needed
@H3517BEelizabethh - September2020, Elveden Forest
"Haven't been to Centreparcs for a couple of years but so glad we booked this year
Lodge was wonderful - clean and really spacious. Everything you need - home from home.
Saturday and Sunday are the full days you are there so most activities booked for these days. Tried loads including archery, badminton and high wire walking
I liked the idea of booking the swimming and found that we didn't queue for slides and due to social distancing it was not too full
We visited Cafe Rouge and had a lovely meal - service and food both excellent
Also visited Hucks on another evening and food was as good
We booked an activity for the Saturday and were contacted to say it had been cancelled due to the course being flooded but managed to book another activity easily
My grandson really liked the archery with Jayden and enjoyed it so much we booked for him to try it again the next day. This time the instructor was Ryan and my grandson enjoyed it as much
Thank you for a wonderful weekend and we will definitely return"
A lovely Autumn escape
@lianneee89- November 2020, Woburn Forest
"A lovely break before the madness of another lockdown!
We stayed 3 nights/4 days, our first time in Centre Parcs and we didn't really know what to expect. Our perfect little lodge was nestled amongst the forest, very clean and spacious. We did take our own food to have meals in the lodge for the majority of our stay which we found worked better for us.
We had a very excited 9yr old with us and there were lots of things to keep him occupied! The swimming, aerial adventure, archery and short tennis were the activities we decided to do and loved all of them!
All the staff we came across were very friendly and we felt very safe with the guidelines put in place for COVID.
I would highly recommend going and it seems like a place you can enjoy through any weather and any season and each time have a different but still amazing experience"
@Janeym- October 2020, Woburn Forest
"We visited for a long weekend at the end of half term in this extraordinary year when we have hardly left our village, it was so fantastic to get together with our family in a fabulous Center Parcs lodge. We felt very safe from the virus with staff ensuring people wore their masks, hand gel available everywhere, gaps being left between activities to allow staff to undertake cleaning and everything being scrupulously clean. We didn't take part in as many activities as we might normally have done but we took Halloween games to play in our lodge and just loved spending time together with our grown up kids and granddaughter. Luckily, our family is 6. We have had a fabulous weekend and have very happy memories."
