A break from lockdown

@JesseSnB - April 2021, Whinfell Forest

"My youngest son woke up this morning and said "was Cente Parcs all a dream? it seemed too good to be true". We had such a lovely time. It was great to have so much to do, so many activities on offer. We didn't miss the pool being closed due to Covid restrictions. Kayaking was my favourite. It's a very calm and still lake so was great for the kids (6&7) The waterfalls add in some thrill for the thrill seekers in the family. Interactive squash was lots of fun to do as a family and our non sporty son really enjoyed it. Adventure Archery was a really interesting way to have a go at shooting a bow, we had fun hitting planets, bottles and squirrels. We hired an electric boat on the Sunday afternoon which was a nice way to relax. The Geocaching was a great way to see the whole park, even if the kids did get a bit moany that they weren't on their bikes. Center Parcs is perfect for cycling due to the roads being fairly clear of cars for the weekend. We felt very safe, especially with the Covid measures in place, and limited number of bookings. All staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. A perfect holiday! So much to do that we didn't get chance to, we will be back when we can be."

A sense of calm in a mad mad world

@stainless083 - September 2020, Sherwood Forest

"We have just returned from a long weekend of momentary bliss!
Adequate precaution levels, sensible restrictions in place, spotless accommodation.
Staff were super friendly, efficient and helpful.
The squirrels made our day, totally oblivious to what was going on in the outside world, they just wanted acorns and attention!
We look forward to a return visit!"

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Josh F - September 2020, Woburn Forest

"Center Parcs has never failed to provide a relaxing, fun and memorable short break experience and this trip was no exception. As usual, the village felt clean, safe and well-organised, which is more important now than ever. Throughout our stay, I felt all the necessary steps and precautions were being taken by the Center Parcs team without detracting from the overall experience. In addition to this, the self-contained nature of the accommodation and outdoors environment made it easy to stay safe and adhere to the guidelines.

The lodge was clean, comfortable and the perfect base for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our activities including the Aerial Adventure (with a awesome zip-line over the lake!) and, of course, the Subtropical Swimming Paradise. I would highly recommend Center Parcs Woburn to anyone looking for a convenient and relaxing getaway (especially in the current climate), and I look forward to returning again soon!"

@RobCourtney - September 2020, Whinfell Forest

"This replaced our trip to Mexico but turned out to be far better than anyone of us expected.

We booked a 3 bedroom executive lodge for 4 of us (all adults) This was a 2 story building in the Medow view area of the parc which is unfortunately for us about as far away from the check in area as you can get and slightly further out than most other properties from the villiage centre. However we booked mountain bikes and found we could cylcle to the centre in about 5 minutes.

The lodge was spotless and had everything you need including towels, a dishwasher complete with tablets and as a bonus a sauna upstairs. Bedrooms where well thought out with comfy beds and ensuite bathrooms complete (in 2 rooms) with whirlpool baths. Each bedroom also had its own TV.
Extra towels were delivered on day 3 as well which was unexpected.

Theres loads to do at the Parc, I really recommend hiring cycles as this makes it far quicker to get around. You get two sessions in the tropical pool per stay which you book before you get there, we found the later in the day you went the quieter it is, in fact we did the 7pm to 9pm slot and by 8.15 we where the only people left in the pool which was fantastic.

We alos did tree trekking which is a rope course in the trees and good fun, theres also a higher course if you have a head for heights but as it was my other halfs first time we went for the lower course, the obstacles are the same but a touch lower down. The staff are first class and special mention to Elliott who managed to navigate my wife across the course when she was scared silly.

You also book any restaurants online before you go, we went to Hucks one night which was okay and the Lakeside in another where the food was really good. Just one moan, the inn advertises cask beers but didnt have any. Looking at the pump clips though the choice would have been Pedigree or Doombar, cmon guys you are in a fantastic part of the country with loads of good local breweries you can do far better than that.

You can also book takeaways and I recommend it, we had Pizza one night and Chinese another. You order on the app and pick a timeslot, both times the food turned up to the minute and was really good.

Both check in and out was simple, you unload the car drive it back to the carpark where it stays and then pick it up to load when you leave. Cycle hire is also simple, book before you go, collect the cycle and return it when you leave, all easy and fast.

To sum up, although we hadnt planned to visit Center Parcs this year we are very glad we did and will return."

"So we went on a family weekend to the winter wonderland experience, we have been before and loved it, was a little apprehensive with the covid situation and was so utterly impressed with social distancing, activities, cleanliness of park, friendliness of staff etc, I would not hesitate to go again.
