"Just back from a great family holiday in Whinfell CP. Kids had an action packed time and a happy time was had by all. Facilities were excellent and staff very friendly and helpful. The boys particularly enjoyed the football coaching and a big shout out to Luke the coach who was marvellous with the kids and impressively remembered all their names almost instantaneously!! Can’t wait to go back next year all being well 😊"
Perfect family break

"Staff couldn’t have been more helpful - Kieren and Fred in tree trekking - you guys were awesome! In fact all staff we came into contact with couldn’t have done enough. Swimming was epic and weather was beautiful. The whole thing was just lovely. Nice you have a co-op too - keep things kinda reasonable for those essentials. Cafe rouge menu has improved and we enjoyed a lovely family meal, well priced and service terrific! All areas immaculate and very well organised. Thank you thank you! 😀😀😀😀😀"
Wasn’t on my list, but WOW
@Glen_Gill_Lockett - August 2021, Sherwood Forest
"What an experience
This wasn’t on my visit list, however, as a staycation with family (inc Dog) we had an amazing long weekend.
Clean, bright accommodation, with everything you could need.
Shops, restaurants, cafes, adventure everywhere and staff who are so friendly, polite and professional.
I really can’t fault the experience.
We tried 4x4 for children, boating, the mazes and adventure trails. Plus lots more. However you can’t beat the tropical paradise for young, old, swimmers and non-Swimmers. It has something for everyone. The word bored is not in the vocabulary of Centre Parcs.
Staff even stop enroute to chat to you
THANKYOU for the experience and the really warm welcome from everyone."

"We have just returned from our annual summer holiday, moved from last year, and it was fabulous. We stayed in Oak 488, which was very clean and tidy. Felt very safe on site, good covid precautions in place. We had our 2 swimming slots, which was adequate for us, it was much better as the swimming pool was not rammed, no big queues for the slides etc. We hired a cabana on both occasions which was a treat as we had a 14 month old with us. We were offered 2 more swimming slots by text on the monday morning, which we did not use as our other grandchildren aged 8 and 11 had plenty of other activities booked. Hopefully, they will keep the times slots as we found it perfect. The new changing rooms are brilliant and the fact that you use your lodge wristband instead of coins is a brilliant concept.
The 2 older grandchildren did several activities which were very well organised and had brilliant instructors.
We ate out twice, once in Bella Italia and once in Hucks. Again, both very covid safe. One of our party is a coeliac, and both restaurants were very well informed and compliant on the importance of gluten free contamination. The food was brought out before all other food and with a little flag denoting it as gluten free. The staff in both restaurants were excellent with brilliant customer service skills.
The only thing i am critical of is the lack of play areas for toddlers under the age of 3. No swings or any other play items suitable for their age group. Hopefully, the management will look at improvements to make the family experience even better.
All the staff we had dealings with were very friendly and helpful, and that goes along way to making a holiday at Center Parcs very special. We will be back for our annual Winter Wonderland stay."

"Having enjoyed overseas holidays for many years, we were faced with a staycation for 2021.
Can’t say that I was bursting with excitement at the thought of staying in the U.K. with our unpredictable weather.
I needn’t have worried. We booked a great lodge which was quite central (in the Pine area). Everything was clean and tidy and everything worked. Despite a regular turnover of visitors, the lodge felt quite new. The beds are firm, so you may want to take your own pillows. The lodge had a great layout which encouraged family gatherings for our group of 6 which included mum, dad, 2 daughters, 2 partners and granddaughter. This was the first time that we’d all been away in a family group and the relaxed atmosphere of the park helped.
The friendliness and willingness of all the staff in all areas really was noticeable and stood out; this played a large part in us enjoying our stay. 10/10 to the staff.
The site was clean and tidy and holidaymakers’ cars were parked safely away on the main car park making for safe and free movement around the park. Fellow holidaymakers were also friendly and willing to share a smile or a conversation.
The activities were all enjoyable (Segway, falconry, tree top walk, massages, archery and pool) although the race to book them in advance when you were able to was a little tiring, with options disappearing quickly before your very eyes. When booking activities, ensure that you leave enough time to transit between them as the site is big, especially if some of your family members aren’t that mobile.
A bike, either hired or personal, is a must to get around as the site is big. Electric assisted bikes would help with the hills as the park is quite hilly. The land train was regularly on time and ran every 25 mins. Factor this into your scheduling of activities if needed but beware that it can fill up quickly at peak times.
The scenery is fantastic with tall pine trees and an impressive lake making you feel that you were in a distant forest away from the U.K.
Longleat Safari Park is only a few miles away and well worth a visit. I know the two businesses are separate from each other but I’m surprised that some kind of discount isn’t available as it would draw more crowds to the safari park. We visited on the day we left as checkout was at 10am and it seemed a logical way to spend the final day.
Despite my reservations of a U.K. staycation, we’re thinking about rebooking for next year, which, for me, is practically unheard of!
I was very pleasantly surprised and would recommend it."
Great Few Days Away
@413melaniee- June 2021, Longleat Forest
"From start to finish it was absolutely brilliant. We were celebrating the hubsters 60th Birthday, and as going abroad was out of the question this was a good alternative. From check in, hubby was given a half bottle of prosecco and a birthday card to walking into our apartment and seeing a Happy Birthday message from Centre Parcs, this just made our stay special. Everything on site was so well organised. All the staff were so friendly, the site was beautifully clean. The shop had a huge variety of produce and nt over priced. We ate in a few of the restaurants, all the food was really tasty. As we were staying for 5 days we were allowed 2 bookings for the pool (2 hours each time). Pick up and drop off of bikes was smooth. All in all, a fantastic few days away."
Relaxed, and fun ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
@Carolineashlie82 - August 2021, Elveden Forest
"We had the best staycation at Center Parcs! It was lovely and relaxed, but had great fun also completing some of the activities. The staff are amazing, fun with a great sense of humour. We highly recommend the Ariel Adventure, Quad bikes, Segways, swimming and bike hire. Just remember #feetfirst on the water rapids!! #ifyouknowyouknow . With the pre book swimming sessions it was less busy and hardly any queues for the slides, which meant we got to go around and around plenty of times on each swimming slot. Tip - pre book restaurants as they are limited in this current time, including delivery service. The pancake house is a must!"
Blissful week!! Perfect holiday.

"We can’t fault the holiday we just had. Monday to Friday in a new style executive three bedroom lodge. We booked lots of activities and ate out most nights. The customer service was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff running the activities were all fantastic. They made such an effort to make us all feel welcome and comfortable. Incredible. All meals at the restaurants were delicious. We really noticed how ‘normal’ things felt here. Obviously Covid regulations were in place but it was never in your face or intrusive and actually life just felt so very normal which was much needed!! An express facial at Aqua Sana was total bliss whilst the kids enjoyed the aerial adventure with an awesome zip wire over the lake, plus archery, climbing walls, pottery painting (so good we did it twice!) and katakana. Being able to book four swimming slots helped make this holiday even more perfect. I’m so glad centerparcs have decided to increase the number of swimming slots for guests now. We have had our most memorable holiday here this week and feel very grateful to all that helped to make it so fantastic. Thank you!"
Center Parcs, Elvedon. Breckland Executive Apartments

"We had, as always, the best stay at Center Parcs. Especially in the “current climate”. The apartments were amazing. We had one next to each other for a delayed 50th birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly and every activity we took part in, especially paddle boarding was brilliant. I love that carefree feeling of parking the car up, picking up hire bikes and cycling through the trees in shorts with the sun shining with the ones you love. A truly unforgettable both relaxing and fun-filled break. I love that the now “young adults” love as much now as they did when they were 3years and been every year since!"

"We’ve never managed to visit a holiday park such as centre parcs, however with travel restrictions it seemed a safe bet, we weren’t sure what to expect however.
We visited in July with my entire family of 6 adults and 5 children and had the most wonderful time! We had an exectutive lodge, all all exclusive and tree houses were sold out, but it was fantastic and the walk to and from the centres were enjoyable. We were blessed with fantastic weather, and enjoyed many activities at the park which were perfect for everyone of all age groups! The facilities were perfect, and each and every staff member we encountered were helpful and happy and really made our stay perfect. We can’t wait to book again!"
Great holiday with 4 teenagers!!

"This was our first experience of Center Parcs and I was a little unsure of what to expect. It is quite a different holiday to what we are used to - usually we are sun & pool in a nice hotel! I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. The lodges are all modern and clean. Kitchen is well equipped (fridge, dishwasher, oven, MW). Bathrooms are modern and well designed with heated towel rails. Bedrooms are neat with each person having their own single wardrobe. No washing/laundry facilities fyi. There is a large Tesco not too far away.
In terms of choosing a lodge - you don't have to btw, I hadn't understood that you can drive to your lodge to load and unload, so we picked a lodge near the car park. It actually ended up suiting us quite well as it was away from the activity areas and sort of in the middle of the 3 locations you go to - Plaza/waterfront, Village Square and Outdoor Activity Centre. So it worked out really well for us. However, it did mean downhill to the Plaza and Village Square (so uphill on the return) which could be an issue for some but gave us all a bit more exercise!
We pre-booked most of our activities on a friend's advice and that I would say is a must. Bookings open about 2 weeks before you leave and I booked everything on the first day it opened. I recommend doing your research beforehand in terms of what activities are available and what you'd actually like to do and make a rough plan as that will make the booking process so much easier! It's not the easiest to find how much they cost until you're booking.
Due to covid restrictions we couldn't use the pool facilities the whole time but had 4 X 2 hour slots for our week and to be honest that was perfect for us. The huge huge plus was that this meant the pool was never crowded and there were no queues for the slides or water rapids etc. This made for a really pleasant and enjoyable time at the pool.
The grounds were all really well kept, as were all the activities. All the activities were great. The kids (age 14 & 16) loved them all. If you can afford it, I'd book as many as you can. I booked so they had about 3 activities in the day to keep them busy and then they'd go off for a ride on the bikes - wanted to keep them off their phones! Woburn is not that spread out so it is possible to walk everywhere but the kids had great fun being able to go out on the bikes with no cars around. It is not on the flat so I ended up pushing my bike up the hill a few times but it was fine.
The lake is a little on the small side but they have made the most of what there is with what's on offer. Half an hour on a kayak or pedalo is more than enough given its small size. Recommend breakfast at the Pancake House by the lake - lovely sitting outside on a sunny morning!
The archery activities went down really well with our 4 teenagers so would highly recommend them. As the description mentions, you do get taught what to do but they keep it nice a simple so you are really participating for most of your time slot which is great.
Aerial adventure (make sure you book the age appropriate option) was challenging enough for them and has a great zipwire across the lake. They also enjoyed the Drop, Escape the Forest, Segway, Laser Combat, Laser Clay Shoot. Geocache was nice as it gave you a walk through the place but wasn't challenging, so some older kids may find that a little slow. We also booked badminton, tennis, squash, bowling, mini golf, football pool and they enjoyed them all. Some of these cheaper options I added into the itinerary when we were there. I wish we had tried the fencing.
The staff at the activities were all brilliant - really invested in making sure you have a good time and that made it so much more enjoyable - really well done Center Parcs!
I'd highly recommend this as an active holiday for the family. We had 4 teenagers with us and they are all still raving about the holiday and all the stuff they got to do and to be honest the covid restrictions of allocated pool slots made for an even better experience."
