Excellent All Round
@Mikann- May 2021, Whinfell Forest
"We stayed at Center Parcs Whinfell 17th-21st May 2021 which was the first week the pool re-opened and indoor dining was allowed following lockdown.
By booking swimming slots, activities and restaurants as soon as booking was allowed ( in our case 4 weeks before our stay started) we were able to get everything we wanted at a convenient time. Many extra measures ( e.g. life jackets sanitised after use, bats/ balls cleaned after short tennis) had been put into place and the whole site indoors and outside felt 'Covid safe' .
Our lodge, Badger Wood 58, was spotlessly clean on arrival. all indoor public areas were frequently cleaned. We visited Rajinda Pradesh and The Pancake House . In both, tables were well spaced and thoroughly cleaned between groups.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon."
Really nice break
@GDP86- May 2021, Whinfell Forest
"We stayed for the bank holiday weekend. I think that the staff are doing an amazing job complying to COVID imposed restrictions. I was a bit worried that social distancing requirements would make the weekend tedious but for the most part the staff managed to compensate for this. The pool situation (2 pre-booked 2 hour sessions) actually suited us better because it felt slightly quieter and we just swam for 2 hours rather than sit around for longer. Staff in the kids activities (Dave on the climbing wall and Lauren in the kids off road driving) were lovely. Sports cafe staff were really good and I felt bad that their tips must be reduced because of the online ordering system - I hope the company has done something to recognise this. I got my first pint of Guinness here in over a year and it was a nice one. The boathouse people were also great. A kayak for 30 minutes in sunny weather is the best value thing they sell here - loved it!
Weirdly the forest was ridiculously dusty today and yesterday, it would have been good to have some explanation for that! The car needs a good clean and even my clothes are dirty today."
Another amazing stay
@shonar812- May 2021, Sherwood Forest
"We are regular visitors to Sherwood Center Parcs and we have had another fabulous stay. We stayed in Maple 27 which was lovely and despite being very close to the village felt very secluded and private. We visit for the wildlife and were not disappointed, we saw a huge variety including a Jay, geese with their young, Great spotted woodpecker and even had a badger visit on our last night! Staff are always so friendly and helpful. We went to look at lodges for our next stay and 1 of the housekeeping supervisors Hayley came over to us to ask if she could help. She was fabulous, really knowledgeable and went out of her way to answer our questions about the different lodges. Her enthusiasm and clear passion for her role and Center Parcs was really clear to see. She is an asset to you."
A lovely break in Center parcs
@franharris16- May 2021, Sherwood Forest
"We have just returned from a weekend stay as a family of four at Sherwood (children aged 5 and 22 months).
I have been visiting Center parcs since I was 2 and now bringing my own family since 2016. I was so desperate to get back after it re opened and it did not disappoint.
I have to say the lodge was so spotlessly clean on arrival and felt like cleanliness had gone the extra mile. We were allocated a 2 bed lodge in Cedar and was so impressed with the location. We had a beautiful pool of water behind the lodge and saw so much wildlife. The kids loved it.
While we were there the swimming pool was closed which was such a shame but that being said I think it encouraged us to perhaps do things we wouldn’t normally.
We booked to do adventure golf, short tennis, little outlaws, electric boats and foot pool.
I think our favourites were adventure golf and short tennis and my 5 year old absolutely loved little outlaws.
The play areas were great and bizarrely this was the first time we had ever used the one behind the Jardin de sports. I think that was definitely our favourite and even my 22 month old loved it despite it being for the bigger kids.
On the Saturday we ordered dining in from the Chinese. After being a bit dubious about what the quality would be like it was DELICIOUS! And was piping hot on arrival.
On Sunday we visited the pancake house which you couldnt book but we’re straight in at 10am when it opened. The limited menu was a little disappointing but that being said we enjoyed what we ordered just would have been nice to have more of a range.
Staff were super friendly and happy to be there.
All the social distancing measures seemed good and everything was very hygienic. My only query would be how this may be more tricky to navigate / sustainable once the park is very full again as it was a quiet weekend capacity wise.
We cannot wait to go back to Center Parcs again for winter wonderland in December, but are hoping that things might be a little more back to “normal”.☺️🌲"
Fresh air & Family Time
@B2904WKlucyh- May 2021, Sherwood Forest
"We had a great mid week break! The weather was kind to us so we spent all our time outside, making use of the free play areas, the beach and the cycle routes! Even though inside activities were not available, it didn’t effect our enjoyment as Centre Parcs had managed our expectations really well and we understood exactly what we were going into. The staff were friendly, professional and all Covid measures were clearly in place. The fresh air, Forest & quality time together as a family was just what we all needed."
A lovely family holiday. Highly recommend.
@Globetrotter_Beckster- May 2021, Longleat Forest
"We had a lovely holiday at CP. It was our first family holiday post lockdown. We stayed for a week, 2 adults and 2 children who are 1 and 4. There was so much for us to do. and the good thing about CP is it's not weather dependant.
The sub-tropical swimming paradise was a real hit. and the 2 hour time slot is plenty for young children. and actually quite nice to pre-book so it wasn't too hectic and no long queues (for anything because of pre-booking).
Everything is will organised around COVID making you feel very safe.
It was easy to book activities. I would recommend trying to be organised tho and book stuff before you arrive, just to make sure you get the time slots and activities you want. Lunchtimes and afternoons in restaurants get particularly booked up. and Swimming does too.
We are already planning our next trip!"
Another amazing stay and super helpful staff
@emmab4e4- April 2021, Longleat Forest
"We’ve been coming here for nearly 30 years and our trip in May was fantastic! Very good at keeping it covid secure, whilst still being able to do most things. Hats off to the staff, nothing was too much trouble and everyone was super friendly and genuinely excited to have guests. Segways were a first and would recommend. Sharron the quad bike teacher was also very patient! We hired a chalet with infra red room which was a real treat. Will be coming back again next year!"
Relaxing and peaceful
@lollymiddleton- May 2021, Elveden Forest
"I went to Centreparcs in May for the sole purpose of relaxation after a busy year - that’s exactly what I got. I was able to walk miles around the forest and relax in my lodge without being bothered by anyone. When I wanted contact with others all I needed to do was go into the village area where I was able to look around the shops and get what I needed out of the supermarket . I didn’t venture into any of the restaurants this time but have done before and have enjoyed this in the past. The only company I really wanted I got In the form of squirrels, deer and geese with their chicks who were only too happy to spend time with me as long as I gave them offerings of berries and nuts - truly a very relaxing break - can’t wait for the next one. The lodges are exceptionally well equipped and comfortable and modern."
@3SwaffhamWanderers- April 2021, Elveden Forest
"Just returned from our first 4 night midweek Centre Parcs break. We had a very relaxing time. Just what we needed after the last year and all the Covid restrictions. We found our lodge and the whole site very clean and tidy. Everywhere felt very safe. We took advantage of the takeaway meal service from the on-site restaurants. All the meals were hot and tasty and delivered on time. We enjoyed our daily forest walks and the peace and tranquillity of the surroundings. Thank you to all the staff for a brilliant break."
Fantastic Covid Safe Getaway!
@jessicaproto - May 2021, Woburn Forest
"We have just returned from a brilliant bank holiday weekend at Woburn CP. Lovely and quiet, just what we wanted. Our cabin was located in Birch area with very few others staying near us. They cabin was lovely and clean and you could see they had put in extra measures to ensure it was safe. I loved the amount of wildlife that came to our patio each day (be sure to bring bird seeds/nuts) we had squirrels, ducks, pheasants and even little deer come by!
Our arrival was smooth and collection of our bikes was easy, highly recommend booking in advance as we managed to bypass a queue to get them.
We loved the food delivery service! Such an array of options to choose from and delivered straight to our door. Perfect when it’s not quite sit outside for dinner weather and when you’ve had a long day of exploring the forest. Our food always came really quickly regardless of what time we ordered it. The pizzas from Amalfi were absolutely delicious, highly recommend.
We did a few activities such as adventure golf, table tennis and target archery. The archery was fantastic, our instructor Chloe was brilliant, incredibly friendly, welcoming and so helpful.
We managed to dine at the Pancake House on the waterfront with the outdoor seating. Delicious pancakes but seem to be running on a scaled back menu. Something to consider if you’re hoping for lots of toppings!
Overall we had a fantastic weekend and would definitely come again. It felt completely safe and a clean environment throughout. The perfect weekend for an over due getaway!"
@455rhianneb - April 2021, Woburn Forest
"Fantastic long weekend at Center Parcs - our first time away from home since February 2020, and our first as a family of four.
It was wonderful. We felt safe at every activity, the staff were all great with our toddler (the baby owls was a particular highlight) and as always at Center Parcs, we felt relaxed and away from all the various stresses of real life.
The whole place felt very Covid-safe and staff were clearly doing everything they could to ensure the smooth running of the restaurants, shops and activities."
